Welcome to Thatch Mound

Welcome, you have found Thatch Mound, a website where you can watch one person’s tale of self-employment unfold in real time. The name “Thatch Mound” comes from the type of anthill built by a variety of ants known as “thatching ants,” such as formica obscuripes, a red-headed ant which is common in Washington State. The concept of Thatch Mound is to build a successful company by combining moderate income streams from lots of little projects into a source of income large enough to replace my former full-time job, in the same way that many ants come together to build something much greater than themselves—the thatch mound.

More will be revealed about Thatch Mound and the individual projects in the near future.

  1. Somehow this reminds me of “tales of a Seattle real estate investor” (Seattle Eric’s defunct site). Hopefully you won’t suffer the same fate :-)

  2. If you are doing pop-up ads, you may want to go to inserting some of them, because people like me have ad block on all of my web browsers. :>)
