Project Artichoke Update
By The Tim on Mar 4, 2008 in projects
So what have I been spending my time on lately? Well, in addition to regular updates to Seattle Bubble, including setting up the ability to do direct advertising, much of my time has been spent on the inner workings of Project Artichoke. As I mentioned in the project introduction post, Project Artichoke is a content-based site that will be updated weekly. I’ve been hard at work developing the back-end of this website, as well as the visual look and feel.
At this point, the back-end and layout of Project Artichoke are pretty much complete. Work now shifts to actually creating interesting content to fill the site. Fortunately I have some assistance on that front from a good friend that I have partnered with in the past on a number of other similar projects. Hopefully he’ll be doing some writing, but even more importantly, we were able to have a brainstorm session on Friday morning that really helped me flesh out some ideas. Ideally we’ll be able to make this a regular occurrence, as I find it much easier to find inspiration for this type of writing when there’s a like-minded friend to bounce ideas off of.
The current plan is to create roughly two to three weeks’ worth of content before going “live” with the project. The current target date is April 1st. As the deadline gets closer, I’ll provide more updates on how the content-creation process is developing.
Project Completeness Estimate:
- Back-end: 95%
- Visual & layout: 95%
- Initial Content: 5%
- Overall (not an average): 70%
so you were one of those guys who actually enjoyed division meetings and leadership meetings :)
